70-Hour Georgia Private Detective Pre-License Training Class
What I Learned
I learned the state required knowledge to become a private investigator in the state of GA.
Why
During the COVID lockdown, I had finished my high school requirements and due to the lack of things to do, I researched how to become a private investigator in the state of Georgia. In order to be eligible to become licensed, you must take a 70 hour training course. Through my research, I discovered some states require private investigators to be employed by a company to be able to practice, such as Georgia. I reached out to a local PI company, but they explained to me they only hire criminal justice students. Because I was still in high school and was unable to be employed at the time, I decided not to take the actual licensure exam, but I have completed the requirements in order to do so.
I have found that a majority of the information I learned through the course is applicable to all parts of my life. I learned how to actively listen and how to understand subtle expressions. There are also some laws that I learned about, for example trash laws, that I have found interesting. There are a handful of things that are a part of the public domain/public property that I would not have expected.
