How I joined the program
Fall 2023
In my sophomore year calculus class​, we were given a presentation from someone in the GeauxTeach program and I was interested. I have always liked "teaching" my friends when we studied for classes.
I then scheduled the Step 1 class for the following semester.

Steps along the way
Spring 2024
After I completed Step 1, I felt drawn to the program. I continued scheduling all the courses to complete a Secondary Education Concentration.
Over the several courses, I have been able to tour some schools, observe different classrooms, and even had the opportunity to teach some lessons.

Currently and Upcoming
Fall 2024
The fall 2024 semester is my first semester as an official student teacher. I will be the student teacher in a dual enrollment biology class at Liberty High School one day a week.
